Reil Becker
Trainer ???
Reil Becker is a former student of Steve's and a current student of The Center for Forensic Training and Education. Reil’s first dog, Titus, instilled a love of learning how to handle, care for, and train high drive working dogs in a variety of disciplines. Titus passed away at the age of seven after a short battle with canine degenerative myelopathy. Reil's current K9 partner is a 3-year-old German Shepherd named Goliath. Goliath is a dual-purpose trained detection and protection dog. Goliath is a NAPWDA certified human remains detection K9. Goliath is also trained for tracking and article searches. When he isn't working, Goliath loves to play with his sister, a 13-year-old German Shepherd named Kye.
Reil specializes in detection work and distraction work as it applies to detection dogs. Reil and K9 Goliath have studied with the Center for Forensic Training and Education for 3 years and have excelled in burned, buried, wilderness, water, and crime scene
searches. She has also dedicated herself to becoming proficient with K9 decontamination methods and techniques, as well as emergency K9 veterinary care after almost losing K9 Goliath to a bacterial infection he sustained on a deployment.
Reil is a Colorado native who moved to Detroit when she was 18 to play music. After 3 years of touring Canada, the United Kingdom, and France, she moved to Cincinnati. When Reil isn't working her full-time job, training dogs, or on a deployment for K9 search and recovery, she is building a farm and raises honey bees with her best friend, Sara.
