Dog Board and Train

Boarding and training is an intense program designed to provide your pet with a lot of training in a short period of time. Your pet stays at our facility and is participating in several training sessions each day. Typical training includes: Loose leash walking (heeling), Come, Sit, Down, Stay, Door Manners, Distraction Training (pets, people, traffic, public places…) and boundary Issues such as jumping, counter surfing, and other reasonable requests that can be accomplished during the time we are working with your pet. Dogs are introduced to remote collar training during this program.

Our Boarding and Training Program comes with an obedience collar and a leash. Also includes follow-up private lessons and group classes. The 12-day program also includes a remote training collar and an additional class.

Dogs participating in the Boarding and Training must be friendly with people.

What is involved

This program is ideal for clients wanting an accelerated training program and / or who are not able to commit to a consistent training schedule. Your dog stays with us for their training where we will accomplish a lot of training in a short period of time. We then train owners with their pets in both private and group sessions that are included with each package.

I highly recommend Dog Training Personalized to anyone who needs help with their dog. We have a Rhodesian Ridgeback / Beagle Mix named Brownie, who we adopted this January.

We opted for the board and train program, where Brownie learned the basic commands and expectations. We were given daily updates and pictures. What is fantastic about the board and train program is the training does not end after your dog is boarded. Steve layers his program with personalized lessons for the owners, which updates him on our progress at home, and teaching you what we were doing wrong.

You can tell he is someone who loves dogs and knows what he’s doing. We feel like we have a completely different dog, she’s happier, and we are too.

We did the Board & Train with Steve while we were out of town and the change in our 6 month old puppy is amazing! We took our first walk tonight since picking him up and it was wonderful! No more pulling, no more walking across my path, we both enjoyed the walk! Steve listened to our needs and worked with Patches. Steve is clearly knowledgeable, patient and professional.
